There’s nothing more between us, no not anymore. Last night I heard your key, for the last time in the door. We both knew sooner or not, we’d come to a parting of ways. We knew our relationship had seen much better days. Every time we were together, I fell in love with you. Every time you said you loved me, I knew it wasn’t true. I hope you get everything, I seemed to get from you: Grey days, black sleepless nights, a cold lifeless moon. And a crayon – To color your world blue, so it looks just like mine. A world with clouds, where the sun never shines. A blue crayon to fill in those pages of grey Washed out by tears that never go away. All colors in my life, now replace shades of blue. I’m creating a rainbow, a life without you. My pages of grey, are washed out by my tears All gone forever, along with my fears. |

Muse, thank you, for responding. I used the color blue for more than one reason...one is that it is my fav color. And it can be related to a variety of emotions and feelings. ~Genea |

many people write poems about lost love and the like, but few write them with such originality. I praise you on a job extremely well done. ------------------ *Krista Knutson* |
