Interesting night last night.. one of my friends and I made "spur of the moment" poems on each other while online, and here are those not-so-perfect poems but the way they turned out were pretty interesting. The names in the poems aren't our real names. I am sorry my poem had to sound a little mean. But his nickname is Insanity in real life, although he is called Greffy in this one. ----------------------- (dedicated to me - written by my friend) Byle, the wandering bard, Holds a crystal shard, Inside it a thousand storys, and their portal for poetic flurrys, his dreams do tell of far away, as he sings lay after lay, from the lay of saruman, To the sea of storms, his mouth has ran, Oh Byle, the Wandering bard, For he holds in his hands, a crystal shard. ----------------------- (dedicated to my friend from me) Greffy the gleeman With stories stupid and insane Rests thoughts on Sedona afar and the red rocks near Time is passing, it is spinning Looking back and forward sinning He plots his next world conquest At tables where food on jello rest In Gracies, most disgusting place, And the dwarves' song of race pounding thick on steel, Like lightning his memory stays First a blur of light then stone by days And he ain't just a gleeman No, he ain't, he's also full of plans. |

Love the game! On another site, we started a community poem. Taking turns we each had to write a stanza of the poem..following the story line... we must have had about 15 stanzas before we pooped out! |

I wish I didn't have an headache pounding at my head after the camp (I've been volunteering), but here goes anyway. Christina, you know how I told you in a posting about a friend of mine who tells me about Sedona. Well that is him! It is he who saw a shooting star the size of a basketball in the sky pass overhead while he was there. He's just awesome, and I like to hear the stories he has as well. Food on jello reference is a direct way of showing how gross the food is, and we actually do that! But jello isn't the only thing we luv messing with, also mashed potatoes. Something quite squishy. A bit to explain -- what about the conquest? My friend likes to make Pinky and Brain jokes of how to conquer the world from the cafeteria, that's why it was mentioned. And his memory is actually stone by years, he remembered the dwarven song King Under the Mountain line for line, word for word, after five years without reading the book. And what you say, deVine, sounds exhausting! I would be so exhausted from all that work and maybe we should try doing that on this site sometimes. I love this exercise, you should try it too, Genea! And time to take care of my headache. |
