1 am and I phone; you answer unsurprised that it's me "bad dream," I say you immediately settle in for the tale... and you distract me with the smiling in your voice your laughter filling my heart- rich with caring and at the end of our call I can't seem to remember what it was that scared me so- you've chased my demons away, again just by being there. ------------------ And I thought: this is how poetry is born. It comes from invisible heights, it is secret and dark in its origins, solitary and fragrant, and like the river it will assimilate whatever falls in its current; it will seek a route between the mountains, and its crystalline song will ripple through the meadows."- Pablo Neruda |

I like it Christina. Short, simple and meaningful. Alot of my poetry is written between midnight and 2 AM... go figure. You can't choose when inspiration will hit you so I write and just go ahead and pay for it when I get up at 6 AM for work :P |

Christina, Me and the girl who i recently started a new relationship with have had some deep conversations about just this sort of thing. That the little things are what make the big things so awesome. Like a dozen roses means so much more if it follows months of single stem roses. Or an anniversary has so much more meaning if you are gone for a long period of time and all you have is the letters, every other day that totally bring you two together during your seperation. You truly grasped our conversation with this poem. I love it. Keep up the great work. You are an outstanding poet. Jfreak |

Christina, you have proven once again that the most striking poems can be created from the smallest gestures or thoughts. The mark of a gifted writer. |

This one is so powerful in its simplicity. I really enjoyed it... and I'm glad you found that napkin to write it on so we could all read it! ------------------ Shannon D. Montgomery ("Krystal") |
