I need to give up the ghost tonight, and as the hopelessness comes crashing down my ankles are awash in the blood I have always refused to bleed. The truth of what I have become and the truth of what I need to say is the silence that splits my ears, dividing the heart within me burning the pain of my soul. And this word-fight, this desperate cry I offer to the game is nothing but vanity. A futile attempt at redemption. but it is what I do to survive, it is what I do to live a life that IS worth grasping and sucking dry.... a life I decided to want Today/Tonight/Right Now. ------------------ "These poems, they are things that I do in the dark, reaching for you...whoever you are and are you ready?" This got my attention from the very first verse! I am by no means a professional or expert poet, but your work is always so gripping...you have a fan! ~thats my (#)5 cents worth~ ------------------ #5 Poetic Society |
