Who here has ever searched for true love? Have you ever wondered what it means to be true? Who here has thought to just look above? The bible defines it quite well, let me show you? Love lasts long, and is patient and kind These three are easy to, if you keep them in heart 'Tis not jealous, nor shows it behind Is not self-seeking, pushy, it wont ever part Love's not touchy, or full of pride Love never fails, fades, become obsolete, or end. Love is not fretful, nor can it hide. Love will never leave you, its an everlasting friend I believe Ive searched for way too long. Ive looked in all the wrong places, just not above I thought I knew love, Boy was I wrong! Then I opened my bible and read, "God is Love" ------------------ Gënt£ë¤§°û£ |

Gentle Soul, you have done a great job! Described very well what love is. The Bible does seem to nail it on the head huh? I am glad you have found this, and are inspired. No better way there is! |

Thanks guys DE, once again, I have found my love for god... at first I thought it was gone.. but all I found that I just got blind to it.. WhtDove.. yes.. the bible is the best place to learn of love.. even if ppl dont believe in God.. they should read the bible, becuz I believe it demonstrates, awesome love.. from Jesus dying on the cross, to Hannah, having a child, even tho she was baren, and when she had samuel, gave the boy to a man of God to be brought up in the word as a way of saying "thanks God for the son"... ------------------ Gënt£ë¤§°û£ |

I must admit I'm not particularly religious, but still there are many truths in the Bible, and also many types of love, but religions seem to teach about the best kinds of love ... not the depraved longing, desperate agonizing pain, or utter abandon but the empathy, concern, compassion and tolerance these are love as well and sometimes missed too often. Your poetry brought that out Gentle Soul, and I appreciate it. Very nice work |

Yes, Gentle Soul, there are a lot of amazing stories to be found in this wonderous Book. My favorite I think was the wisdom of Solomon. The 2 mothers and the child. |
