Pretend with me I found the Key to Ibsen's light. The fiction flight, of reunite. And here I walk you by my side. It is only the truth I hide. I've dreamed of you in absentee, In dull and dreary ennui. And wish to close that chasm door And fly above that canyons floor. I would a shadow of a dream, A thought that floats upon a stream. And challenge you to meet me there, Like Ibsen in his love affair. You think me sad a little mad? You think I need a loony pad? I do not want to frighten you. It's only this, that I can do. Pretend we are the same of age. Pretend we walk a different stage. Pretend I am your knight in true. Pretend the sky and world are new. And in this pretenders' reckon. We will ignite, every beckon. |

I liked it too! The second-to-last verse was my favorite. ------------------ *Elizabeth* "Dwelt a maid belov'd and cherish'd by high and low, But with autumn leaf she perish'd, long time ago..." |
