DISCONTENTED The memory lies shallow. The ice, it melts so fast. A cold and distant echo Of an unforgiving past. So sweetly swift is the time-line Misconception has invented. Wallowing away another day, Content to be discontented. A drunken king, holding reign O'er the providence of sorrow. Oh, will I ever pay for yesterday, Selling out on tomorrow. For the past, merely a memory, ‘Tis a truth I've found alas. As I see my future, now, so clearly I in the bottom of this glass. |

You do have a way - of putting a very difficult aspect of life into quite eloquent words...... |

I commend you on the sentiment of this piece, dark and yet illuminating. ------------------ Shall I indulge in flights of fancy hampered by clipped wings? DreamEvil© |

You may be discontented, but reading your work gives me a sense contentment. Reading good poetry every day does that to me. |
