Hard to the touch
Music to the ear

As note connects to note
forming octavious tones

Uniting harmonies
that become ear candy

The black and white sound
of flat and sharp

Played in succession
as fingers slide from key to key

Minors, majors,
scaled arpeggios

Crescendos and decresendos
played at intervals

In the beauty that is, Ivory's Song.

Ahhhhh, thank you Mona Lisa. I so enjoy playing the ivories. Piano is as much a passion of mine as poetry. I have said before that music is the poetry of tone.

p.s. I play classical...I love Chopin's etudes.

Mona lisa,
your poem tickled
my ivory's white
almost out of sight.
Nice job.

Thanks to all of you for your lovely comments. This poem was born out of my sincere appreciation for the beauty of the piano and its ability to touch the core of my soul with its sounds.

I hold any good pianist in complete awe. It is always amazing what beauty, sadness and joy came out of that instrument in the right hands.
