Breakfast for a Robin

Through the window came the morning,
Swiftly silent without warning.
Showering me in dawns new light,
Bathing away the sleep of night.

On my sill there perched a robin,
Breast of red and head a bobbin,
Without the slightest of constrain,
Peeking under my window pane.

Looking in for I know not what,
But quite intent upon some spot.
When I noticed on my sill,
A silverfish very still.

The silverfish jumped to faster
And that became a disaster.
The robin struck with lightning draw.
And the silverfish was no more.

The end of night and first of light,
I'll have to think, upon this sight.

Well done and well written. A moment captured in verse. Could you distill it down to a simple haiku?

sunshine,
Bam, Bam thank you mam.
INclan,
Your haiku

Silver fish beware
The Robin and his fast draw
Or you'll be no more.
