The silent door

Each night in ghost I beat her door
The beats resound but nothing more.

A fatal blow my fleur-de-lis
My joie-de vivre that came to be.

My church my spire and my shrine
God took back what I thought was mine.

Swallowed like a sip of tea
Her substance to eternity.

And only echoes' soar encore
Faint knocks upon the astral door.

Seymour, explain one thing to me. How am I to perceive "in ghost I beat her door"? Are you both dead? Or just she? Please, please, explain to me.

Very unearthly. Good work!

Dear Sunshine,
It's the ghost within my mind.
I have some jolly ghosts too. *L*

Let those jolly ghosts out, Seymour, October is leafing up on us.

BTW, I especially liked

"Swallowed like a sip of tea
Her substance to eternity"

I think this piece is growing on me.
