YOU, WHO HAVE TAKEN FAR MORE
THAT YOU SEE,
YOU, WHO HAVE GIVEN THAT WHICH
BINDS ME TO YOUR KNEE,
YOU WHO HAVE SUMMONED
EACH AND EVERY HOUR OR RAIN,
CANNOT CONVEY TO STRANGER OR TO FRIEND
WHY I STAY WITHIN YOUR FAR-OFF SITES.

THE ANSWER, AS THE WEB YOU SPIN,
SPIRALS, INVISIBLY, OUT OF REACH,
WHERE TRUTH IS LOST BEHIND THE LIGHTS.
YOU, WHO HAVE TAKEN THRUTH AND SPUN IT WELL,
YOU, MY FRIEND, HAVE TIRED ME ON THIS WALK
PAST VIRTUE, THROUGH TRUST, BEYOND LOVE,
WILL YOU LEAVE ME NOW?
I HAVE FOUND THE DOOR TO HELL.

Thank you for your response Elizabeth. Yes, it was personal, but it was written about 4 years ago....That time is thankfully past!
