This doesn't claim to be much of a poem, folks. *S* The title's fairly accurate... *G* So please bear with me.

Can you hear me?
Does my voice travel through the miles?
I need you so; I miss your smiles.
Do you know?
Can I touch you?
As I dream of you tonight
Will arms that long to hold you tight
My love show?
It hasn't been such a long time
Since your laughter, heart, and rhyme
Brightened each hour of the day,
But now you have to be away.
I hope your treatment is first rate.
Minutes tick by... How long the wait.
Come back soon!

Missing someone special, Suthern? Don't worry, time does fly, just don't be watching the pots boil!

Sunshine: Yup! LOL. And the more special the person, the more time drags. *S*

LJA: Ya mean my hog callin' bellow? *G* Thanks, friend... big hugs to you both!

Knowing him, he won't be the only one in stitches....so will the entire hospital staff!! Keep the positive thoughts flowing, Suthern. We're all with him.

Knowing Toe, I know he won't be down too long. I bet he's already begging for a laptop and a phone jack!
Keep the faith honey..we're behind you two all the way!

I still haven't figured out all these online connections and not knowing what I know after reading the comments before I read the poem, I found it to be very well written. Now, knowning what I do, I enjoy it even more. Thanks for sharing Suthern.

Thank you all... very much! *S* Playing with words helped pass the time... your support is incredible! Merci, muchos gracias, danke schoen! All good thoughts and prayers are greatly appreciated!

I know he'll be back soon... if the nurses will only let him go! LOL. But I can't exactly blame them for wanting to keep him... I'll bet everyone of them ignores the IV and goes straight for the tush with the shots... just for the great view! LOL. And can you think of a better place to spend your break than with Mr. Entertainment? *G*

hoot: Special thanks for liking the poem without knowing what I was moaning about. *G* And welcome back! *S*

I think this poem is beautiful - I just felt the longing.  I am glad that it's here for me to find and read.  Kind of like that little jewel that brings pleasure (but I am still looking for that!).
