His empty eyes filled up with pity And he did nothing to resist His home no longer felt like his His echo cried, “who build this city?” And in response he heard a voice, “It is by chance and not by choice That grass is dying under granite Machines you’ve made now rule the planet” At once he though about his drawing Upon a paper with a stain He sketched a robot with a brain “I did this all without knowing...” Where trees were once a common sight Skyscrapers stood a mile in height The sun no longer gave off heat And fires burned throughout the street The walls were shaking from his scream He found himself tucked in his bed His forehead covered up with sweat “Thank God that it was all a dream” He rushed outside to get some air The spring was raging everywhere His heart filled up with admiration “It’s good to be someone’s creation!” ------------------ I fell in love and kept on falling |
