Don't talk of lovin'
When you know nothin' but hate
Don't talk of lovin'
When you can't control fate
Don't talk of lovin'
Where false hopes start
Always keepin' me runnin'-
Don't break my heart.
Don't talk of lovin'
When you give nothin' but fear
Don't talk of lovin'
When I can't have you near
Don't talk of lovin'
Cause you'll just do me wrong
Don't talk of lovin'
In words or in song
Don't talk of lovin'
Just leave me to live
Don't talk of lovin'
When you've no love to give.

i wrote a poem with an almost identical meaning (in two parts "hush" and "then") if you care to stroll through the poems (i know, shameless self-promotion)
