Whispering Bells The bells that peal and that we hear, Peal different each and every ear. A subtle difference in each guide Even those of the mornings tide. Sometimes they sound a nightingale, Sweet and soft o'er the air they sail. Unique are those the wake up bells The evening ones seem sound a knell. Then there are those that carry dross, They ring of flesh and bone and loss. And those are not the ones that heal. Although they peal with flagrant zeal. Some peal phantoms, ridding hell Some surf angels guiding well. Some so sweet could swell a tear, Some to some would whisper fear. Where some can rage in toll and maul, Others in bittersweet just call. Some cleave your heart or do repair And some ring pain you cannot bear. The bells that peal and we can hear. Peal different each and every ear. |

Sy, I'm gonna put some kind of a flag - or maybe a bell on every one of your postings - So they stay at the top!!!... Seymour: My reading time is limited today... but the title of this one sent me scurrying down the list to see what you had to say. *S* And I'm glad I did... great poem! |
