Purgatorial Incarceration

What is that bustle in your head?
The storm is clearing...
Along a distant horizon,
visions of bright illumination.
Whispering wind,
echoes of my plight.
"Come here to me!"
A palpable voice of steel.
My insanity...
It tugs, pulls, twists-
...the tethers of my mind.
One way, this.
Then another, that.
Constant companion-
Close as a night-time lover.
Shall I win?
Doomed to lose?
"No matter,"
it screams across my frail flesh.
"The game is all!"

Yikes! I've often thought I was crazy - people tell me I'm weird - I feel the 'palpable voice of steel' drawing me closer to that edge......yikes! Very good.

Wowee...great read, but I'm afraid if I were to take a trip through your head, I'd definately need a tour guide - or a very detailed map....!! This one near went over my head (course, I'm short as I always say!) Reading the replies of others...that helped.
