My hair hangs down falling across my face soft and flowing gently absentmindedly I tuck it behind my ears as we kiss my hand moving to your face My eyes look up trying to hold back the fire keeping my thoughts from showing their desire It's so hard to be someone different from me when all I reach out for is the 'we' we used to be it's there in my eyes shining for all when I look at you my heart says it all I try to be nonchalant but fail all the time as you look in my eyes they betray me and shine they say to have loved is better than not at all but deep inside my soul my heart breaks shattering as it falls Confusion does reign I see that so clear as I wish that my hugs could bring you back here So I brush back my hair and stare straight ahead with loving green eyes as you try to convince me our love has to die... ------------------ You give but little when you give of your possessions.
