Target, and aim Easy shot Straight and narrow Feet planted, slight tail wind Feels good Don’t let the club face turn over Setup, impact – Yes! NO! Get Down! Get Down! … Ok…deep breath… now Hands ahead of the ball Flat left wrist Slow and easy Take club back Shoulders square Let gravity take over Down and through Slice… *hacker* Hhhhhmm… Position ball on front instep don’t forget to breathe Hands too tight sweaty Flagstick! Flagstick, flagstick who’s got the flagstick? I must say , (a bit embaressed) I enjoy watching golf, and this is the first poem EVER I've seen about the thoughts inside a golfer's head! Very interesting!! Nice job! Satiate, you must know a lot about golf because these thoughts are right on! There is a bit more pleading, begging, and groveling involved but you captured the fear-induced checklist of doom beautifully! |

satiate lol - that was great - especially the GET DOWN part - been there so many times that, back in the early 80's, I single-handedly made golf balls an endangered species. |

I'm glad you liked it Long John! I think some members of my family helped you a tad with the grand golf ball extinction...in fact...there is actually a golf ball embedded in a tree somewhere on the back 40 of my parents' property.
