He's a little ball of fur
who does 'some' things extremely well
top of the list is Purr
should I measure in decibels?
He wakes me up
at the crack of dawn
getting under my feet
as I stiffle my yawns
and all so *I* can let him out
that darned cat-flap of his
he doesn't use a toilet seat
but instead my garden for his 'biz'
he's cute, he's funny,
he makes me smile
bringing me presents
all the while
sometimes they're alive
sometimes dead
but damn I hate it
when he drops them on my bed
he jumps in through
my office window
sometimes misses
and falls to the roof below
and once again he's got us both
on full public display
I try to tempt him with some chicken
but will he obey?
nope, cause my darling Snoops
just wants to play
the people passing by
stop to laugh and ask
"do you need some help
or a ladder for your task?"
I answer "no thanks, he's done this before,
but thank you anyway"
soon he'll jump into my arms
and there I hope he'll stay
30 minutes later, traffic queud right up
much to my dismay
the little rascal spotted 'her',
and off he ran to have his *wicked way*
I'm laughing so much and so are they
thank heavens for simple pleasures
they really make MY day!

Until the next time...LOL

and your poem makes MY day, Rainbow. It's refreshing to read nice and cuddly instead of doom and destruction first thing in the morning. Keep up with those good felines, er, lines.

Very nice, I chuckled the whole way through. Kitty cats are always curious, and looking for a new adventure.

What a great tribute to a wonderful friend! LOL. Give the furball a big hug from his Auntie!

Thank you...it makes me laugh to be a part of his antics...note the time of this post...*sigh*...He got me up an hour ago and I've got a 3.5 hour drive ahead of me and then a 10 hour day but firewalls permitting I'll try to look in during the day, if not I'll look forward to reading from my hotel room this evening...and I'm shattered already..LOL

Furball sends purrs back to auntie..:-))

HUGS
