Ode to Being Blonde (from my archives)

It matters not how smart you are
For if you are a blonde
Dead batteries in a new car
Will render senses gone.

Of course the doors are locked up tight
Forget remote control
The hood won't open, such a plight
To jump this Jag and roll

Oh, such a quand'ry, what to do?
The dealer said to me ~
Did the thought occur to you
To op'n it with the key?

The blonde was sitting in the car and she could not get out.
She tried attracting walkers with an over powering shout
But no one paid her any heed to help her in her plight
The handle would not budge an inch. The button was stuck tight!

And then her situation took a bad turn for the worse.
She kicked the dashboard with her feet. She screamed. She raved. She cursed!
She knew that if she didn't leave then she would surely drown
For it had started raining and the convertible top was down!

Nan

Why did you have to say you're blonde,
Now another stereotype is gone.
You've too much wit to fit the style,
I must conclude you've no vacant smile.

Thank you for the reply.

Afraid she is, Long John, old friend.
There's no more reason to pretend.
No, she's not dumb but I have seen
A lot of white-out on her screen!

I'm not blonde,no sir ree!!
I've never done anything wrong you see.
I'm brunette through and through,
And I can even prove it too!!

Well, maybe once I locked myself out.
When it happened I ran about
To see if I could get back in,
(The neighbors had a good laugh then.)

Oh, I forgot another one,
When I was having so much fun
I neglected to shut that oven off,
(Took hubby 2 weeks to rid that cough.)

But those are exceptions to the rules,
Brunettes you see are never fools.
We only have teeny, minor mistakes
(we get out of trouble by whatever it takes.)

Well don't mind me, I dye my hair
To rid the blondness hidden there.
How can they say blondes have more fun?
(Alright, I admit...it was all for pun)

I wuv ALL you people.. BTW...I think I must have enjoyed your poem too much Nan..it made me write this cwazy thing!!!
