You are so close...
i can feel you breathe -
yet so far away...
i just can't believe -
when i'm near you...
that you're not mine -
i can't touch your lips...
please give me some time -
to reach down inside...
and be everything -
that you've ever wanted...
i'll become your dream.

ok here PFF, I'm weeping ALL over my keyboard. It amazes me how much emotion you can project from so few words!
(And it DIDN'T suck!)

What do ya mean it sucks?! Gee - I have to work really hard to get replies sometimes!!!
There's so many of us on here...I quite liked this actually - it reminds me of my poem 'Accidental Passing' - in content. (Sucks...tch tch, don't put your work down!)

DREAM LOVER

Dream lover,
You come to me.
You fill the need,
You plant the seed.
Passion arises,
Slowly incises.
Sensations burn,
Souls cry and yearn.
A fleshly tingle,
Two bodies, single.
Fountains flow,
Faces glow.
In arms clinched tight,
Embraced by night.
Impeached by dawn,
I wake, you're gone.

The quiet desperation of the soul and skin. A subtle ode to the interdependency of the human spirit. A vulnerable longing and a thirst unquenchable.
