Hidden in the valley of despair living for the next medication mind shut down in need of rest, curled tightly in fetal meditation Living in the shadow of life reasons unknown or unclear waiting for the healing to start to abandon this place of fear Slowly as the gray film dissolves and his eyes focus on what’s real He walks towards a plateau to seek what the heart can only feel A glimmer of sun, smiles at him bringing a promise of hope, and giving him a sense that he will soon be able to cope A hand reaching down to lift him to even a higher elevation fills his heart with wonder at the spirit’s reclamation Each day is still a wonder of life’s pain and it’s glory each step taken is just a chapter in his mind’s liberation story |

You are indeed a wonder, and a true role model Poet deVine! ------------------ ...the things I did not know at first, I learned by doing twice. -Billy Joel |

I really love your style and the ease that comes when reading your work....very "eye" friendly - As for the content, I think the reader is captivated from the very first stanza...great setting and you followed through so smoothly with the "process"...Fabulous flow darling ! BRAVO ! (clapping) One of my favorites from you, yet. ------------------ - poet FemmeFatale "The strongest man in the world is he who stands most alone..." Henrik Ibsen (1826-1906) Norwegian dramatist lyric poet |

Wow! Excellent poem! I love the line "Each day is still a wonder." After stepping (or crawling) away from the darkness, they are indeed! |

Poet deVine, You showed him the path, but will he take it? Nice work, enjoyed. |
