What hills are these that I must climb? I begged you for a flat land, Where I could see the sunrise over the horizon and be content to see the break of day. Oh, foolish child who can not see above his faltered foot print. Look up and understand the reason why. Beyond you are the mountains where there is no morning sunrise. These foot hills are where you will learn to climb. What hills are these that I must trod? Lord, mist obscures my vision. Where can I go to see beyond their vistas of tomorrow, And be content to see across the haze? Oh, foolish man who can not see beyond what lies before you! Look up and understand with open eyes. You ask to see the sunrise comming over the horizon, climb on I'll give you endless earth and skies. Lord bless the hills that brought me here to climb the highest mountain, where I can feel its peace within my soul. I saw a glimpse of daybreak on eternitys horizon and understood that hills were not my goal. [This message has been edited by Ohme (edited 07-18-99).] |

It took me a minute to understand this. I re-read it, my interpretation is: If you ask for flat land where you don't have hills to climb, you will miss the journey. Climbing the hill is not the mission or the goal, but rather having climbed it, you have experienced the journey. And reaching the top you reflect on the journey and bask in accomplishmnent. Much like life... Ask and you shall receive. Ask for knowledge and you gain it through experience. Very good. makes you think |

I beg your kind indulgence, Auntsh. May I wait a little while longer to see how others interpret it before I bare heart and soul? I promise I will give you my intentions later. Thanks for the input. Ohme |
