Have you ever sat at the side of a creek bed And saw the little fish swimming with no cares in the world until the fisherman came Isn't funny that no matter where we are on the food chain We are still hunted How can we as a whole change the future? We teach our children at young ages how to be grown, how to act the part But when do they get to be kids? Is it okay to teach them how to guzzle a beer? How to smoke a man made cigarette and not accept the consequences? Will they shoot up too? They will if we continue to teach them how! Every time we turn on the television all we see is hate Didn't we fight to be joined? So why are we still separated? Why are we teaching our kids how to hurt somebody If you don't like what they say SHOOT THEM Where is the sense in that? The vulgar words we are all guilty of using They now use in their sleep They now take guns to school They hurt anybody that looked at them crazy Different colors: Blue vs. Red Red vs. Brown Black vs. White Handicapped vs. Us Us against the world Where are the boundary lines in our life? It use to be we could rely on our children to save the future Now we can't even rely on them to do something VENGEFUL Do you remember the Civil Rights Movement? Well even though WE overcame that hate IT NOW LIES IN OUR CHILDREN They see only the COLOR to which their PARENTS TEACH THEM When does this insanity end? |

Kate- Even though I don't see you, I know there are plenty of you out there. It all rides on you. We can't let our downfall be from something we could of prevented. |
