I've walked through life in disbelief,
With a battered soul, and no relief.
And I've had to smile a time or two,
As I lived a lie without a clue.

My teeth chattered in the coldness of my
Heart,
The fires of my soul you couldn't start.
Darkness and despair enveloped me,
The love around me, I just couln't see.

Yes, I yearn to be free,
So, please "Lord" listen to my plea.
Remove this mask upon my face,
And help me to rejoin this human race.

I shouted and plead throughout the night,
Letting the world know I wouldn't die
Without a fight.

Morning came with it's sun and dew,
I lifted my head and opened my eyes,
To a warm feeling and a life anew.
My mask was gone with all its lies,
The "Lord" had heard me and all my cries.

So when you find yourself wearing a mask
And feeling blue,
Just pull it off and be true.
For the "Lord" is with thee and so am I,
So close your eyes and in peaceful sleep
Do lie....

Sorry, Mark - I'm guilty of missing it the first time around - sorry it was during my hiatus
I did like it - very much - it says volumes....
