I have a list of wuzzes that I was supposed to do
And on the other side a list of Dids I’ve done.
Sometimes the wuzzes outdo the dids
And to this plea now I’ve come.

Lord help me with my wuzzes, for they are a whole list long:
I was to help my grandma, I was to sing a song
I was to kiss my husband, I was to hug my kid
Only two on this list are the ones I did.

Lord help me with my wuzzes, they are growing great
I was to pray to you before now; I was to fix a gate
I was to see a friend, I was to learn how to relate
I was to go on a camping trip with my handsome mate.

I was to write a letter; I was to pull the weeds;
I was to write a poem, I was to see to my needs;
I was to get a mammogram, oh Lord hear my plea
How can I get these to my list of dids before I fall to my knees?

I was to do the dishes, I was to wash the dog
I was to get the car lubed, and to remove the kitchen clog
I was to bake a cake, and get the cookies done
I was to do these things before the setting sun.

I was to remember my childhood
so my children I would raise right
all I did was turn around
and my children were adults overnight.

I was to set a course for me
A course so straight and true
And now all I have is me
Standing here with my wuzzes before you.

For all of the things I’ve done did,
and with the wuzzes left to do
Lord smile upon me, this woman here,
For I’m sure my list is shorter, than the list you did for you.

I have pages of wuzzes, and I am only 13!!! I understand u completely. Nicly done! Great job!

I enjoyed reading the poem. It is cute but still has a lot of meaning .
