Is there any way to program the current edit message --[This message has been edited ... ]--to appear only when someone other than the author edits the post? I just think it is unnecessary and looks a bit sloppy.

Gee, don't get me started

I am the edit queen, and panic at about 15 minutes. Ron changed software and the time limit allowed to edit got adjusted to way less time than it had been before. In dire straights, I was forced to beg for extra minutes from friends to see me through

I can't remember exactly but think we are allowed maybe 10-15 minutes to revise both topic and content. I will try to find you the link that explained it if no one does here. I sure agree with you - I detest that at the bottom, but then I guess we should work harder at getting it right first time around maybe?
