Knocking Once Again, God

I’m awfully tired Lord, and I do not want to be ~ ~
I’d rather be selfish, Lord, and write my poetry.
There are some folks out there, on a special net
who have praised my words, and now, yet

those words I wrote don’t mean so very much
like writing about someone’s special touch
about being in love, or even being in pain
about a sun’s magic, or the magic of rain.

Yet, for relief from my thoughts, I go there to read
the other poets’ words, for they’re what I need;
they mirror some feelings, they speak to the heart
I’m sure You’re not amazed at the wisdom they impart.

I thank you Lord, for the catharsis you’ve shown
in the enchantment of writing about the unknown,
never suspecting my words would be a part
of touching other’s sympathies, and their hearts.

So naturally I will pray that you
continue to care for the folks that do
read, and write, and create wonderful art
so that I may find rest, and a place to lay my heart.

Sunshine,
Your poems of late are quite mellow
There turning my heart into jello.
If I could wish I'd wish you a smile
Just for a change to wear for a while.
Lots of *L*

Thank you all. That this comes across as "music" is indeed a grand compliment.
