I won't ever be
as young as I am now
If I could just remember how it felt
yesterday when I was young
so sure of myself
everything I wanted was in order
on the shelf

I had dreams packed away in boxes
took them out just to check
that they were there
I've got dreams like everyone else does
I just didn't let them out
in case they failed

I never thought about it much
til I saw an empty shelf
lined with empty boxes
like there was nothing left

I said, "where are all your dreams"?
"you can't give up now, not you"
He said, " I fill them everyday"
"cause all the rest came true"

Cause I won't ever be
as young as I am now
I wanna remember how it felt
when I was young and sure of myself
so i'm leavin this world
with an empty shelf.

Very nice! A title? 'Full life'?, 'Empty shelf'? Something like that?

guess i'm trying to think of another way to say.. a "full life" is sometimes represented not by what we leave behind.. but.. how we didn't waste anything..like dreams, hopes and wishes..

geesh that's no help at all is it? hahah

I too will try to think of something.
This one kind of surprised me, because when I first started reading, I thought it would be about wasted time, only to find that empty in this case didn't mean empty!
