He bought a dozen roses And left them out in sight Hoping they would heal the hurt And make things be all right He knew they couldn't make up for The dozen tears he made her cry But his love for her was very strong So he felt he had to try She saw the flowers lying there And she knew what they were for But how could she forgive him Or even trust him anymore They were beautiful in color Each one so pink and long But their beauty couldn't take away The fact that he'd done wrong But suddenly she saw it It was just a little note Her eyes begin to fill with tears From the words that he had wrote In just a few small phrases He grew a whole bouquet A hundred roses couldn't take the place Of the words he wrote that day She placed the roses in a jar And admired them each day Remembering the words of love That just roses couldn't say |

Sis....I like this version much better. Amazing what truths words can speak that gestures can't hold a candle too. Again, I welcome your talents to this group. Hugs Your big Sis ------------------ "In the depths of winter, I finally learned that there was in me an invincible summer" ~Albert Camus |

Milady: I with Lady Hoot on this one... a good sequel though. The two work well together. I like the flow of this one as well. |

This is great! Thanks so much for sharing it. Great that you left the "words" to our imagination |

What a lovely sequel! And it's got a happy ending-great that they worked it out. ------------------ *Elizabeth* "Dwelt a maid belov'd and cherish'd by high and low, But with autumn leaf she perish'd, long time ago..." |
