Great poets here are many
all masters of their art
who write their poems well and good
and clearly from the heart
as many forgone wordsmiths
who deigned to leave their thought
you write and think and labour
which shows in what you’ve brought
as I contemplate the very best
poets I’ve ever seen or read
there is more than one name
that leaps into my head
if pressed to put in order
two great poets hard to part
the first one would be Homer
the second his young son Bart

Very slick ending there! However, I think Lisa is the clear winner.

Nice one P.

I wish I could write like that!

Yes, I admit your general rule. That every poet is a fool:
But I myself may serve to show it. That every fool is not a poet.

Craig, just keep on practicing and you'll get there eventually, just keep trying, I'm sure there's courses in your area, try the local college!
