You are my subsequent nightmare I have felt your touch before. I hear your footsteps on the stairs you stop outside my door. I can visualize you standing there your hand is poised to knock. I feel the breath catch in my lungs my eyes fly to the lock. You seem to follow everywhere no escape within my grasp. I can not seem to hide from you there’s no running from my past. I search the eyes of all I meet the windows to their souls. When they ask about my past the story I tell is full of holes. I wonder do they notice how I dodge the questions they ask. Do they see the fear I hold inside the "me" behind the mask? The smile that hides the misery the laugh that conceals the pain. The humor that covers the agony of having to start over again. But I will run to the end of the earth to keep you from getting to close. I envision you chasing, perhaps its not true only time and heaven knows. My name you know, my face you’ve seen more then my wallet you’ve stolen from me. My future you continue to violate and rape the same way that you once raped me. |

Powerfully sad, my dear. I feel the emotion of this one well and clear. As always, you write well. This subject has the feel that it chose you tonight. ------------------ Now and forever my heart hears ~one voice~. DreamEvil© |

Ouch... can the world be so cruel as to allow such a one to walk free? There is much in the poem that is reflected in me. . . -------------------------------------------- Laugh and the world laughs with you. Cry, and you do so alone. |

I feel your pain Lucie...and I offer you a shoulder...though I know it is little comfort. Star ------------------ We are only truly apperciated after we are no more! |

Very sad Lucie....but thank you for sharing your pain so others know they are not alone Hugs Ruth ------------------ "In the depths of winter, I finally learned that there was in me an invincible summer" ~Albert Camus |
