Gossamer fronds of mist
feathered across the turquoise sea
wisps of sun, in a warming blanket
upon the ocean's cold heart

a tropical breeze blown in from afar
carries with it the scent of palm
the laughter of children at play
the heavy perfume of an island afternoon

close your eyes and imagine you're there
feel the sun, as it caresses your skin
nestle into the cushioning sand
let the waves and wind sing you a lullaby

let your dreams carry you far from this life
rest in your lovers arms, ‘neath a shady palm
wake to a new morn, with a happy smile
‘til you realize it was all a just a dream

very good imagery that lulled me to a wistful mental vacation...These are actually better than the physical ones cuz you don't have to lug the luggage or go through customs.

Philosophical question of the day:

Do our dreams carry us
or
Do we carry our dreams?
