It was Heaven in your arms, I never wanted to let go, But then you had to leave, And I mourned you for a lifetime or so. This mourning went beyond the shedded tear, It was all around me, a part of the night, A feeling of utter despair, Cos you were gone, out of sight. I long to be in those arms again, To feel that utter contentment and peace, It feels like without you in my life, My heart will die and cease. I saw your eyes memorising my face, Every curve and line, And I found myself doing the same, And I'll hold those memories throughout time. I looked to the starts to help me, Those magical blinking lights up so high, I wanted the wind through the trees to guide me, But all it did was sigh. So there's nothing I can do or say, There's no-one who really understands, There's no guiding light, There's no path through the sands. I just wanted to tell you again, All that I am feeling, All the love, tears and happiness you've given, Have sent my whole world reeling. You're in my heart to stay now, Always an endless tie, And my last thoughts will be of you, When it's my turn to die. My last dream shall be of you, My last throughts will not lay blame, And with my very last breath, I shall whisper your name.. ------------------ Words that enlighten the soul are more precious than jewels. ~Isis~ |
