keeping my feet dry I love to watch the storms, you know those fascinating winds that blow thunder rumbling deep and loud lightning dancing in the clouds I step outside to the screened-in room to observe this mighty tempest loom wandering through the skies as rain comes down water, water, all around A puddle comes in through the doggie-door right there on the screened-room floor! I never could resist the feel of a puddle's cool touch from toes to heel yes I stuck my feet right in for a cuddle of the cool soft feel of that little puddle it was right about then the lightning hit and the oak tree outside was forever split as for me…I can only say this… I'll never again feel a puddle's bliss I felt the shock right down through my toes down my spine and up my nose! before that bolt could get another lick I was running for cover and pretty damned quick! once inside I looked back to see if I'd left behind any pieces of me! I've decided, yes, that from now on should storms arise, be it dusk or dawn with booming roar and flashing red the safest place is beneath my bed! caroline 1999 all rights reserved ------------------ The only man worth your tears will never make you cry... |

There are times that admiration from afar is much more prudent to avoid being shocked. |
