Addicted To Passions In Poetry

Too many postings
Too little time
I’m lost in your meter
Your rhythm, your rhyme

I’m addicted to Passions
I can’t get enough
You words are amazing
This is very good stuff

I read every posting
Each word, every line
Your talents delight me
Your poetry fine

You pour out you feelings
Into fine works of art
Each tiny fragment
A glimpse of your heart

You write of your life
Loss, humor and love
The poets so special
Like Wolfgang and Whtdove

There’s Seymore and Michael
Ron, Julie and Nan
Caroline and The Jackal
Craig and Inclan

We can’t forget Balladeer
His works how they move me
Master, Isabelle and Tyke
Denise and Ms Peri

Then there’s Dream Evil
Who talents are rare
Mike, Tim and Toerag
And Sunshine so fair

There are Poets and Angels
Of which we have many
Lucie and Rainbow girl
Did I forget any?

The numbers astounding
Too many to name
But I find myself reading
Each one just the same

So, here I sit
It’s now time for bed
My eyes are tired
But I keep reading instead

There’s so much talent
I just can’t believe it
I hate to miss any
Not one little bit

Each poet so special
The list never ends
And they’ve gone from strangers
To being my friends

It is with sad heart
That I must turn away
What the heck, one more posting
Then I’ll call it a day

Dear Hoot,
Let me be the first but not the last to say
this is a wonderful poem and it will probably break a record for responses. *L*

This is great! Exactly how I feel. I even keep PiP on my computer at work so during slow times, I can jump on and read... so, will the first Passions Anonymous meeting be held at your place?

Hoot,
I've come to know the truth about Passions in the last few weeks and so I have to agree with you, for the most part. Thank you for a tribute well done.

Hi my name is Izzy and I'm a Passions-a-holic. I haven't written a poem in 12 hours, so my hands are starting shake and my vision is getting a bit fuzzy.

I am honored to be mentioned among your "friends" hoot_owl, Indeed, sleep does seem to be overrated when one can stay up long hour reading here. Quite addicting.

You are a very special person, ruth. Thank you soooo much for including my name in this excellent tribute! even though I had my PERIscope up, I didn't see it comin'!!

You need to add your name in there, instead of keeping it on the PERImeter as author.

nice job! ok, now that I got my "response" fix, I need to write a poem... quick!

I knew I was an addictive personality, but this is getting ridiculous..... LOL

Marvelous ... this place ranks right up there with chocolate and cappuccino on the "addictive" list ...

Balladeer is right, though ... you should have mentioned yourself in your lovely little piece ... give credit where credit is due, so to speak ...

Good stuff ... more please!

Wonderful poem, Hoot!!! A terrific tribute to poets whose talents continue to astound me. As addictions go, this isn't a bad one to have!

Lady Hoot: I echo the sentiments of all who have come before. Thank you for the tribute. You too deserve to be in that list of PIP's Top Picks. That, and I would have to say in the last two months I've probably spent 95% of my time with the internet right here. Addicted? Quite possible, but I'll never admit it.

Hello. My name is roxane, and I'm a passions in poetry addict. This poem was so cute. I can't believe that I hadn't read it yet. I believe that just about everybody on here becomes addicted after a while.

Oh Hoot, I am sure you have captured the exact feelings of most of the frequenters of Passions...But I am not sure, how many of us could have penned it so well.. Certainly not me..!!

OMG, I am starting to wonder, is there some way I could get a 'Passions-patch' to fight this addiction?? I think I am gonna have to go to a rehab..!!
