The moon shines stark and cold, Permits me voyage in an age, age old. It quiets the hill, darkens the day; Dreaming child dreams, but cannot stay. Shhh...listen silent to hear the vision, A choral response is selsom given. The earth breaks, is broken. Then hushed tones acquaint, but are not spoken. Would you forgive the lie or regret Those promises made, but can't forget? As the wind blows a leaf along the street You are who you are, were we to meet. Shards of fate pierce the skin. Rose windows continue to shine from within, Suffer me to daunt, desire me to know A single branch, actions we sow. Such are reformed, confederates wild. Three chanced words: relinquished poem defiled. To desire aspiring lust, with ashes to ashes, dust to dust, Quiets the hill, darkens the day Dreaming child dreams, but cannot stay. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
