Oh Mother! Long and far have I roamed
Beyond memory have I acted for Thee
Playing countless parts in Thy cosmic drama
Surely have I filled Thy needs for villainous roles
In my early lives of acting
Immersed in deepest delusion
Had I any true choice?
In Thy grand production divine souls must ever play...
Both hero and villain.
Did I play my dark roles well Mother?
Were You pleased with my delusion shrouded evil acting?
And, too, Mother, many noble characters, undoubtedly,
Have I been blessed to play.
How wonderful to act--sought after roles
Of bravery, love, courage, selflessness...
But, dearest Mother, I now weary of all relative roles
For they have lost their charm.
Different ambition now stirs within my breast
Uncanny longing doth pull taut the strings of my heart.
Divine obsession consumes my soul and exposes all things
As mere props, mundane diversions.
That which thrilled now stifles
Old cycles have metamorphosed to unbearable, continuous sequels.
No longer will I act these parts! The drama is refuted!
Oh Divine Director, lift the curtain of this earthly stage and reveal,
Thyself!
