Three Days Dead

Well, I've been dead for three days now,
Won't someone roll the stone away?
I've got to find my Femme, somehow,
I can't take this another day.

My house is as dark as a tomb.
Within my life there shines no light.
Waiting here in the cold and gloom
For her return to make it right.

I sit here at my computer,
Every two minutes checking mail.
I've been holding my breath for her,
My life, a sigh, awaits exhale.

I haven't ate, nor slept, indeed,
I may have well forgotten how.
Without her touch, I lie in need.
Well, I've been dead for three days now.

Well done, Michael... I used to look forward to weekends, count the days till my freedom and live for Friday afternoons... now I see them as a time of silence. *G* Hope things work out for you and Femme!

Yanno Michael? I remember a few years ago, telling this co-worker of mine that was fooling around with this nut, that she ought to be more careful or she'd end up pregnant by this idiot. She told me that that wasn't a concern cuz she was uterusless......I told her I was too at the moment...my wife was outta town. (Not to be confused with "Eweterless"..Balladeer's loneliness during shearing season),,,,,,,,Great poem pal....shows alotta feeling!

Been there, still there, done that, doing it yet again. I understand my friend.

Amazing what effect they have on us. The weaker sex? I think not. Hang in there, Michael.

Hang in there Michael, my friend. She'll be back soon. But I know that feeling too, turning on the computer and hoping he/she is there...

Well stated and a great title. I like how it flows and the the echo of the first and last lines. Most enjoyable read.
