It's negative true, but it feels this way, That I kill love when I touch it, Too strongly perhaps I stake my claim, I sever the gossamer silk of it's beauty. Seems to me at this time, The only love that is safe for me, Is that of my animals and son, To them my love is safe as can be. I can't give answers, Can't tell you why, It just feels to me, Eveytime I start to care, the love in the other dies. Sure I'll get a couple of replies, But what difference will that make? Isis- I'm going to answer your poem with my poem called "touch light".... you'll see it posted here in open poetry.... i didn't want to post it as an answer since i didn't want to seem i was adding to your poem. Btw, where did you come up with your penname? just curious. Systematic Decay- What you've written is a myth. There is no "right one" who will come along. I'm surprised people are still being taught that. Believing that and then having it never come to fruition has been the downfall of many heartbroken persons. People are capable of loving many people and there is no special "right one" especially for you. Many loves could work.... it's in the giving.... -dp |

Isis...you can no more kill love than you can create it. How could someone who writes like this kill love? Don't take the blame! It isn't you! Leave the luggage and get on that bus  |
