Never Again

His heart spoke to
me in the silence
of the wind.
Telling me that he
no longer wanted
me, that he no longer
loved me.
His eyes gazed
at me from a
distance, craving
me once more.
But, I wouldn't
put myself in
that situation.
Not now.
Not ever.
Not again.
I've fallen for
his eyes too many
times.
I won't allow
myself to get
lost in the passion
once more.
Not now.
Not ever.
Never Again....

Lynn, I too, once had that special someone
all I had to do is look at her, she was my
first wife. At one point in time, I loved her more than life itself. We divorced, and
boath had failed second marriages, one day she came back around, I was vulnerable, so
weak, she said she wanted to work it out
with me so that we could be together again.
she ended up running away with another man,
and my heart was broken once more.I agree
with you completely, wonderful poem!!!!

From a place of pain to a place of strength is a great journey....glad you made it successfully...good poem!
