Catrina

Finding my heart
Lost in a storm.
Wounded from life,
When will it start?

Left bleeding and torn,
Barely beating.
A crying, lifeless soul,
Waiting to be reborn.

Sun warms my skin,
As the newness enters in.
Rebuilding my life,
Teaching me a new way to begin.

Her eyes see past mine,
For she believes in my soul.
She is my angel of mercy,
A song of new love, sung so sublime.

What is happening to me now?
My eyes no longer a blur.
Can love find me again?
She is willing to show me how.

Her life force of youth,
Shining unto my withered skin.
Am I too old for you sweet one?
Please show me the truth.

Whirlwind of love,
Bringing me back from the brink.
Choosing me from all others,
Flying free as a dove.

Why me, all broken and torn?
Why me, so old and alone?

Her answer is so simple.
Her answer is so sweet,
Without someone to love,
Our lives are never complete.
