I'm going home.

I have expected this day,
I knew it would come.
What I didn't know
was how hard it would be to say bye to everyone.

I love you all so dearly,
I don't want to see you cry.
Think of me as a trapped sparrow
who has been set free to fly.

Know that this sparrow
will fly with the Eagle's wing,
feeling all the joy and peacefulness
that His power will bring.

And when things seem rough
and you don't know what to do,
think of me and the path to God
to whom you can always turn to.

Know that I'm happy
and never alone.
Know that I'm waiting.
Know I am home.
