An eye in a blue face Saw an eye in a green face. "That eye is like this eye" Said the first eye, "But in a low place, Not in a high place." I am stumped... |

Well, I'm probably no where near but: The sky is high and also blue, The earth is green and below, too Should the sky have an eye in it's blue face, Would the earth then not seem a lower place? ------------------ Michael Anderson And so, being young and dipt in folly I fell in love with melancholy, But dreams - of those who dream as I, Aspiringly, are damned, and die: EAP |

I explained this to him in secret, it was something he had forgotten. Just found the poem along with some neat stuff, without the answers! Now, we just want to see someone really figure this out... I mean, everyone take their guesses, and then we'll ... hey, I'm not supposed to take over, sorry al'Thor! hahaha! Al'Thor will explain it when all of you have tried figuring out this riddle poem. Please, please at least try! Guess, puzzle it out, whatever. Just say something! Toerag, take a crack! *hands the hammer to Toerag!* [This message has been edited by Artur Hawkwing (edited 09-22-1999).] |

What about a person looking down into a pond....the face reflecting the green of the pond, the reflection in the pond reflecting the blue of the sky....hey, it makes sense to me laughs, I haven't a clue, but I had to guess something ------------------ Some people come into our lives and quickly go. Some stay for awhile and leave footprints in our heart and we are never ever the same. Thank you all for leaving footprints!! |

'k , I don't want to drag this out into stupidity. . . I must say, though, I thought you would recognize the work of the best author ever. J.R.R. Tolkein . . . The Lord of the Rings. Bilbo is riddling with Gollum. The answer is: "'Ss, ss, ss,' said Gollum. He had been underground a long long time, and was forgetting this sort of thing. But just as Bilbo was beginning to hope that the wretch would not be able to answer, Gollum brought up memories of ages and ages and ages before, when he lived with his grandmother in a hole in a bank by a river, 'Sss, sss, my preciouss,' he said. 'Sun on the daisies it means, it does.'" I will see what else I can come up with. ---------------------------------------------You can get there from here, but why on earth would you want to? |

Rand, Symbolicly Blue stands for the unknown Green stands for exceptance. So I would say from the unknown Comes the known. |

This is the wrong answer.....but it's also correct........... The heavens are blue, On a clear day, God's miraculous creations As he looks down our way. To look up green with envy, Of his masterful works, Would be envious to any, That takes time to observe. [This message has been edited by Toerag (edited 09-23-1999).] |

I do too, a hissing answer sounds quite un-preciouss. |
