No more I'll take this hurting,
No more I'll nurture the fear,
No more I'll wallow in self pity,
I've put an end to the tears.

This is the life God gave me,
With all it's happiness and trials,
I will now do my best,
To make my time here more worthwhile.

The people who fail to understand,
The ones who pretend to care,
I'm so much more than them,
Their hearts they just ain't there.

I know who and what I am,
Know my strengths and failings,
But on this cruiseship of life,
I won't be left waving at the railings.

I'll be in it all, in the midst of the fun,
Confident in all that I am,
Out of the gloom and into the sun,
No more slaughter for this little lamb.

The shroud is lifting, I see the sun again,
I've burrowed out of the emotional caves,
My soul is free to sing again,
The happiness it comes in waves.

I think that when you start really caring about yourself, it is when you start really caring about others. Not much for me to say, but this piece is beautiful as a lullaby. My words are two-year-old scribblings compared to yours.

Thanks all for the praise, I mightn't be around for a day or two, my little one is pretty sick. I'm already having withdrawl symptoms..
