Which Road Shall I Choose? |

I stand, in part, on a road Which, at times, seems endless so far, Yet I stand at a large fork, One side rough, the other smoothed with tar. To which I choose will determine The life I will continue to stay. I glance to each seeing what might come, On the right is obstacles every which way. To the left, is an easy way out Of which my body prefers to be. But if I listen to my heart, To the right is all I see. They say the rough road Leads to an eternity up above. It starts out being long and hard, But the outcome is endless love. I can profit from this decision Or I can live in sorrow and fright. Oh! Which road shall I choose, The tar paved left or the small, deserted right. |

"And I, I took the road less traveled, and that has made all the difference" sorry, this reminded me of Robert Frost to some extent...I always choose the hard road, or at least it chooses me ![]() ------------------ "In the depths of winter, I finally learned that there was in me an invincible summer" ~Albert Camus |

actually it's funny you said that because I had to write a poem on that exact quote and this is what I came up with. Well I'm glad it's pretty obvious...thanks ![]() [This message has been edited by Blondie (edited 09-20-1999).] |

![]() Questions such as these are the bane of human kind. Whether or not you choose the right road, is a matter determined after the fact, when the experiences are weighted against the pain. But I always see this: If you wonder at a path, and do not take it, will you not always wonder at where it would have led? This leads me often, down the long hard road, but inevitably also leads to fulfillment. ![]() (Besides, I don't like crowds!) [This message has been edited by Christopher (edited 09-24-1999).] |
