Sometimes I think my most pressing concerns Are but footprints in the sand, Insubstantial imprints that will last until the tide Moonlight-driven rises and encroaches on the land - Should I stand in these depressions and await its cleansing hand? Or make tracks in new directions with my eyes upon the sky, Its swirling spectral presence which defies my earthly ties, And feel its energy within me driving off the stormy clouds, Its elemental beauty streaming from my mouth As words are formed and broadcast and vanish in the air, My hair is blown behind me, the wind stings my eyes to tears. And I hear my voice so clearly and I hear my voice so loud As I sound my pain and sorrow in a wail that's more a howl Until I've lost this void within me, and my soul is charged with light, And I'm walking away from this seashore with footprints spaced behind. The sea in her eternal cycle will rise, and my path will be wiped As the sun rises over the dunes. SleepingSpirit |

Beautifully stated....it makes one think. As the age old saying goes "In time this too shall pass" ------------------ "In the depths of winter, I finally learned that there was in me an invincible summer" ~Albert Camus |
