My words seem to whisper through the tree-tops.
You do not hear what I’m longing to say.
Each angry word hurts me and my heart stops.
You think it’s all just a game that I play.

How can I tell you what you want to hear?
When will you believe what I say is true?
When will you let go of your greatest fear?
When will you believe that I do love you?

My flame burns brightly, but you do not see.
Still, all that I am is hidden inside.
Look in my eyes and then you would see Me.
These windows to my soul aren’t draped with pride.

Kiss my sweet lips and at once, you will know,
I love you more than I’m able to show.
