(This is another collective work between me and johnt300 written in a game of poetry tag...thanks Tyson...Hugs ) At days end I wonder Will I find you here this night? In my dreams my arms embrace you Holding you as close as I can If my words could bridge this distance The gap between us would surely fade Your words they fill my empty hours And thru cyberspace I come to you Searching, seeking access to your thoughts Gaining access to your soul Hoping, wishing for a sign My heart an open book to you My screen an open door Fingers trace along the keys Longing just to touch your skin To feel you speak to me The miles between us at an end Time and space forgotten subjects We cling only to the here and now Will these hands ever touch you? Can my heart reach out to you? With these miles around our hearts Why do I feel so close to you? ------------------ "In the depths of winter, I finally learned that there was in me an invincible summer" ~Albert Camus [This message has been edited by hoot_owl_rn (edited 09-16-99).] |

Oh Isis, been there, done that, and back again...you said it very well. Nice poem. :-) ------------------ "We read and write poetry because we are members of the human race. And the human race is filled with passion.....the powerful play goes on and you may contribute a verse. What will your verse be?" --John Keating, Dead Poets Society |

Loved this one, so many thoughts here of waiting, and wondering. It's wonderful with today's technology, you can fall in love with a personality before even seeing a face. The real value of a person sings through from his mind. |

: I love this one too, but I'll go one further, the real beauty of a person, comes from not only the mind but the heart. Great job in the tag race!: ------------------ Words that enlighten the soul are more precious than jewels. ~Isis~ |

Thanks everyone for your comments Yes Isis....I couldn't agree with you more, I'd much rather see inside someones heart before I lay eyes on their face, to me that is the most important thing. Lost Dreamer....how true you speak, technology today has afforded us a means of meeting people that we would never have found possible 20 years ago. This way you can learn about them, see into their mind and soul before you ever meet them in person ------------------ "In the depths of winter, I finally learned that there was in me an invincible summer" ~Albert Camus |

Hoot another great one you two produced!!! I agree with you, getting to know someone before you see them, can help. As long as they are telling the truth about themselves. Not that you two aren't. I just think so many times frienships don't happen because people tend to see the outside first. |
