She raised her eyes to his,
'Aye I'll be your wife,' she said.
As she blushed and smiled at him,
'And together we two we'll make a home, hearth and bed.'

He hugged her then, lifting her from the ground,
He kissed her sweet, soft mouth,
As he spun her round and round,
But over her shoulder he spotted smoke, trouble back to the south.

'We must return to Iverness for there is evil afoot this day,' he said,
She glanced at the smoke andunderstood, she turned and led the way.
'I'm needed there too,' she replied,
'In the tower to check the herbs and bandage supplies we'll need this day.'

'But lass, don't go forgetting our promise,' he told her,
'We have made a pact this day.'
'We will be married as soon as is able,'
'Nothing shalt stand in our way.'

To be continued stay tuned for part 3.
